Color Quest, logbook #1
Hello to all of you,
First of all, I would like to wish you a Happy New Year 2017, which I hope will be the turning point for Color Warz with our brand new project: Color Quest!
Today, I come to tell you more details about the game system and the evolution of the miniature range because it will be a game with miniatures of course.
In Color Quest, you will have choice between two camps : Oak, the old wise and his Khromaz or the Ronin, general of the threat and his minons.
The first step will be to create your own team, as you want, by recruiting members in the miniatures pool ever published (or created) by FLUO Games. Each miniature will have its own profile and will be playable.
This profile will propose a specific attack, move, special hability and Blast (combo). It will be a cost for each profile to equilibrate the two camps.
In contrast to Paint Brawl or Dark Threat, you will not play with « action points » but each character will be able to make several actions each turn.
The map will be constitued of squares (as usual) but they will be much more modulables and evolutive with interactive objects. It will also have different levels (floor, walls, etc.)
The Kadamas (little magical spirits) will be heart of the gameplay because they will be collectible and allows you to unlock powers, actions and transformations. They will be symbolise by colour dices.
Color Quest evolution's through seasons/ crowdfunding campaigns
The first campaign, scheduled for march/april 2017 will be the key point to fix Color Quest gameplay and community. It will focus on reedition of previous miniatures and creation of the new gameplay.
A second campaign should come late 2017 or early 2018 at last and will propose new characters (design and miniatures) and maps. It will reinforce Ronin player's forces and will also propose new Khomaz combatants (among other things). Of course, we will propose additionnal content for the game.
We are also working on other campaigns but we want to go step by step. Anyway, each campaign will follow this model : acces to previous content + new miniatures + new game elements.
I insist that, except for massive success, Color Quest products will be accessible only during these crowdfunding campaigns (and pledge manager). Our goal is to propose to you one or two Color Quest campaigns a year, depending of our success. We will not be able to create and manage a web shop as we did with FLUO Games. So, we are therefore targeting an underground game with a solid and faithful community (you).
Note : we are also working on a SAV system for our customers during two campaigns.
I hope that these first informations will stimulate your interest on Color Quest !
It still remain a lot of work to make on gameplay but it will be the goal of this first campaign. Most of you knows what kind of games I made with Paint Brawl, Dark Threat or the incoming and famous (I hope so) Gob'z'Heroes.
Color Quest will be the synthesis of these three games. More accessible than Gob'z'Heroes and more deeper than Paint Brawl or Dark Threat.
Our main goal is to create an accessible an evolutive miniatures game and to continue to make Color Warz universe growing up.
